CAZAS – Montenegro

Lead Partner

CAZAS is a non-governmental organisation from Montenegro dedicated to improving public health, promoting human rights, and strengthening social inclusion through education, research, advocacy, and community-based initiatives. With many years of experience in implementing national and international projects, CAZAS has become one of the leading civil society organisations in the region working at the intersection of public health, youth participation, and social development.

The organisation has extensive expertise in health promotion, prevention programmes, policy advocacy, capacity building, and cross-sector cooperation. Through its work, CAZAS actively contributes to creating evidence-based public policies and strengthening partnerships between civil society, public institutions, and local communities.

As the lead partner of YouthAction4HealthWB, CAZAS is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the project, ensuring effective cooperation among all partners and the successful implementation of project activities. The organisation also leads the strategic development of the project, supports quality assurance, facilitates regional collaboration, and promotes meaningful youth participation in shaping health and wellbeing policies across the Western Balkans.

YHO – Slovenia

Youth Health Organization (YHO) is a Slovenian civil society organisation dedicated to promoting youth health, wellbeing, and active participation through education, capacity building, and international cooperation. Drawing on extensive experience in youth work and public health, YHO develops innovative educational approaches that empower young people and youth professionals to become active contributors to healthier and more inclusive communities.

The organisation has significant expertise in non-formal education, health promotion, youth participation, and the transfer of European good practices. Through close cooperation with youth organisations, institutions, and international partners, YHO supports the development of innovative learning methodologies and sustainable approaches to youth health across Europe.

As the Lead Beneficiary of Work Package 2 – Empower, YHO coordinates activities focused on strengthening the capacities of youth organisations, youth workers, and stakeholders in the field of youth health and wellbeing. The organisation leads the development and delivery of capacity-building programmes, facilitates the exchange of European good practices, and supports the implementation of innovative non-formal education methodologies that promote health advocacy, coalition building, and meaningful youth participation.

Through its expertise in youth health education and international cooperation, YHO contributes to building stronger organisations, more competent youth workers, and a sustainable network of partners committed to improving youth health and wellbeing across the Western Balkans.

CEM – Bosnia and Herzegovina

Centre for Education of Youth (CEM) is a civil society organisation from Bosnia and Herzegovina committed to empowering young people through non-formal education, active citizenship, social inclusion, and community development. With extensive experience in youth work, capacity building, international cooperation, and civic participation, CEM supports young people in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become active members of their communities and contributors to positive social change.

The organisation has successfully implemented numerous local and international initiatives focused on youth empowerment, volunteering, human rights, democratic participation, and cross-sector collaboration. Through its work, CEM promotes innovative learning approaches, strengthens cooperation between civil society and public institutions, and encourages meaningful youth participation in decision-making processes.

As the Lead Beneficiary of Work Package 3 – Connect, CEM coordinates activities that strengthen regional and international cooperation among project partners, youth organisations, and stakeholders. The organisation leads initiatives focused on networking, peer learning, the exchange of European good practices, and the development of sustainable partnerships that contribute to stronger youth participation in health and wellbeing across the Western Balkans.

By fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and long-term partnerships, CEM plays a key role in connecting organisations, professionals, and young people, creating a strong regional network that supports the project’s vision of healthier and more inclusive communities.

YouthAct – Albania

YouthAct is a youth-led civil society organisation from Albania dedicated to empowering young people through active participation, non-formal education, civic engagement, and social innovation. The organisation works to strengthen the role of young people in democratic processes by creating opportunities for learning, volunteering, advocacy, and meaningful participation in decision-making at local, national, and international levels.

With extensive experience in youth work, capacity building, project management, and international cooperation, YouthAct develops initiatives that encourage active citizenship, promote social inclusion, and support young people in becoming leaders of positive change within their communities. Through strong partnerships with civil society organisations, public institutions, and international networks, the organisation contributes to creating more inclusive and youth-responsive policies.

As the Lead Beneficiary of Work Package 4 – Engage, YouthAct leads activities that promote meaningful youth participation and strengthen dialogue between young people, youth organisations, institutions, and decision-makers. The organisation coordinates the implementation of national youth health dialogue platforms, supports stakeholder engagement, and contributes to creating opportunities for young people to actively participate in shaping health and wellbeing policies across the Western Balkans.

Through its expertise in youth participation, advocacy, and community engagement, YouthAct plays a key role in ensuring that young people’s voices are heard, valued, and reflected in the development of more inclusive health policies and healthier communities throughout the region.

TOC – Serbia

TOC – Association for the Development of Sustainable Communities is a civil society organisation based in Zaječar, Serbia, dedicated to empowering young people, strengthening local communities, and promoting sustainable social development. With more than two decades of experience, TOC has successfully designed and implemented numerous national and international projects focusing on youth participation, non-formal education, civic engagement, social inclusion, public health, and community development.

Through its work, TOC promotes active citizenship and meaningful youth participation by creating opportunities for young people to develop new skills, engage in decision-making processes, and contribute to positive social change. The organisation has extensive experience in project management, capacity building, advocacy, communication, and cross-sector cooperation, working closely with civil society organisations, public institutions, educational institutions, and local communities.

As the Lead Beneficiary of Work Package 5 – Communication, Dissemination and Sustainability, TOC plays a key role in ensuring the visibility, outreach and long-term impact of YouthAction4HealthWB. The organisation coordinates the project’s communication and dissemination strategy, promotes project activities and results, supports stakeholder engagement, and contributes to ensuring that knowledge, good practices and policy recommendations reach young people, professionals, institutions and the wider public across the Western Balkans.

In addition, TOC actively contributes to capacity-building activities, awareness campaigns, policy dialogue and regional cooperation, bringing its expertise in youth participation, advocacy and strategic communication to support the successful implementation of the project.

MMSA – North Macedonia

Macedonian Medical Students’ Association (MMSA) is a youth-led, non-profit organisation representing medical students in North Macedonia. As a member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), MMSA is dedicated to promoting public health, medical education, human rights, and youth engagement through education, advocacy, volunteering, and international cooperation.

With extensive experience in organising health promotion campaigns, peer education programmes, capacity-building activities, and community outreach initiatives, MMSA actively empowers young people to become informed advocates for healthier communities. Through collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, public authorities, and civil society organisations, the association contributes to improving health literacy and encouraging meaningful youth participation in public health initiatives.

Within YouthAction4HealthWB, MMSA contributes its expertise in youth health promotion, public health education, and stakeholder engagement, supporting the implementation of capacity-building activities, policy dialogue, awareness campaigns, and regional cooperation. The organisation plays an important role in connecting young people with health professionals and institutions, helping to ensure that youth perspectives are reflected in discussions on health and wellbeing across the Western Balkans.

By combining medical knowledge with youth leadership and community engagement, MMSA contributes to the project’s mission of empowering young people to actively participate in shaping healthier and more inclusive societies.

Ministry of Sports and Youth – Montenegro

The Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro is the national institution responsible for developing and implementing youth and sports policies, creating strategic frameworks, and supporting programmes that improve the quality of life and opportunities for young people. Through cooperation with public institutions, civil society organisations, international partners, and youth organisations, the Ministry promotes active youth participation, non-formal education, international cooperation, and evidence-based policymaking in the field of youth.

As an associated partner in YouthAction4HealthWB, the Ministry contributes to strengthening the connection between civil society and public institutions, supporting policy dialogue and the development of sustainable youth health policies. Its involvement helps ensure that project recommendations and outcomes are aligned with national priorities and can contribute to the further development of youth policy in Montenegro.

By supporting cross-sector cooperation and fostering dialogue between institutions, youth organisations, and young people, the Ministry plays an important role in promoting meaningful youth participation and creating an enabling environment for healthier and more inclusive communities across the Western Balkans.
